The Power of Self Healing: How to Heal Yourself

Humans have the ability to heal themselves. However, most of the time we are unaware of our true power, and for this reason, we feel unhappy. In fact, if we were truly aware of the power of our mind, we could improve our feelings, heal our soul and our body. And since many physical illnesses originate from emotional distress, it is important to know what we can do to avoid it. Therefore, in this article, I will explain to you how you can use your ability to heal yourself. Are you ready?

What is Health?

The first thing to do to have a healthy body and mind is to understand what we mean by health. Health is not the absence of disease. In fact, enjoying a healthy body and mind goes beyond the absence of illness, it is a state of physical, mental, social, and spiritual well-being. Thus, a healthy individual is one who can enjoy life in a socially and active way.

In other words, to enjoy full health we must take care of our soul, our mind, and our body. Since, whenever any of these are affected, we will go through some kind of discomfort and our health will be affected.

Once we understand this concept we must pay attention to our behaviors. Observe how you feel, how you eat, and who you surround yourself with. Take a complete look at yourself and think about whether your lifestyle is really healthy. Also, keep in mind that healthy people have a high vibrational frequency.

How can I raise my vibration?

People vibrate at different frequencies on the vibrational scale depending on how they feel. For instance, psychiatrist and researcher David Hawkins published a study whereby through a test he was able to observe that emotions have energy and that they can be measured on a vibrational scale which he called the “Consciousness Scale”.

On the scale postulated by Dr. Hawkins there are different vibratory ranges, the highest setting being for illumination and the lowest setting for shame. So, in order to raise our vibration, we must pay attention to our bodies and observe ourselves completely.

Once you become aware of how you feel, you can start taking action. Here are some methods that can help you.

Be grateful

We are all here and now for a reason, nothing is accidental. Do not forget to be grateful both to you and to others and to work from acceptance. This way, you can flow with life in a more enjoyable way and not fight against reality, but rather understand it and transform it.

It is also important to notice the path that brought you to where you are now and keep moving towards your goals. Be grateful for everything you have learned and, at the same time, with everyone who gave you a lesson and stood by with you.

Engage in assertive communication

Most of the time we judge ourselves more than others. It is important to bear in mind that words have a vibrational frequency and both what we say to ourselves and what others say to us can affect us if we are not aware of their power. This is why you should pay attention to how kind and compassionate you are to yourself. A good practice is to start saying comforting words to yourself or write down positive words or phrases in a notebook so that you can read them at some point during the day.

Connect with nature

With each passing day, humanity finds itself more and more fragmented from nature. Therefore, recognizing that spending time in nature connects us with Mother Earth is key. This allows us to calm down and regulate our frequency.

However, oftentimes we get distracted in the whirlwind of the daily routine, and we believe that we do not have time to stop for a second and enjoy nature. A simple walk in the park or a mini-vacation can go a long way. Although in big cities it is harder to connect with nature, try to give yourself some space to go lie in the sun for about 15 minutes. You can also have plants in your house and connect with their energy.

Exercise

Regular exercise can help us become more active and listen to our bodies. By being active, our body will start to ask us for a better diet, hydration, good rest, and more awareness on its own. However, performing physical activity goes beyond taking care of our physique – it helps us live a healthier lifestyle and, thus, also calm our thoughts. Depending on your age, your taste, or possibilities, you can choose from quieter activities such as yoga to more intense ones.

Meditate

Our mind has unlimited power which is why it is necessary to pay attention to our thoughts and take care of them. Meditation not only allows us to calm our thoughts, but it also allows us to connect with ourselves and return to our axis.

Start with short guided meditations if you have never meditated before and then try longer meditations. You can also meditate without guidance by simply focusing on your breath. There are several ways to meditate, choose the one that resonates with you the most, and do not judge yourself if you get distracted or have trouble focusing. Remember, practice makes perfect.

Conclusion

Today’s world has disconnected us from both ourselves and others. In the whirlwind of day-to-day, in the constant rush to work, or in the worries and fears that we get, we forget the most important task, looking inward.

Consequently, we have put our health aside, and if we are not aligned there is no way we can stay healthy. We must look at the picture in its entirety and return to our axis. We have the power to heal ourselves. And do not forget that before you begin to heal you need to ask for assistance and learn how to listen to your body, soul, and mind, and then we can focus on healing.
